The DGK team is the rawest crew in skateboarding. All of these guys started out with nothing and fought their way through the industry to rise to the top. Whether it be Stevie Williams, Marcus McBride, and Lenny Rivas making it out of the hood to become pro skaters, Wade Desarmo and Rodrigo TX crossing the border to get recognized in the American skate industry, or Josh Kalis and Jack Curtin coming out of the cuts and putting themselves on the map as icons; everyone on DGK has succeeded through raw talent and determination. These guys don’t look or skate like anyone else. The team has always maintained a raw street vibe that is rooted in the ghettos around the world. This can be seen in everything from their clothing to trick selection to the music that they listen to. For them Dirty Ghetto Kids is more than a brand, it’s more than a movement; it’s a way of life that’s led them from rags to riches and allowed them to realize their wildest dreams.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..”, comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
